Funland

A small, family-owned amusement park, Funland is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon when you find yourself in Rehoboth Beach. This park has been in operation for 60 years and has been owned by the same family for all of those generations, so you can rest assured the folks running this place know how to show people a good time.

The park features 17 rides and several boardwalk games. It is easily accessible from the Rehoboth boardwalk, and combining it with a beach day is totally doable.

Want to stay in your RV during your visit to Rehoboth Beach? We don’t blame you. Roadtripping in an RV is definitely the ideal way to travel. Fortunately, there are places to park an RV in the area. 

Cape Henlopen State Park — Delaware’s state parks are lovely places to camp, and Cape Henlopen State Park is no exception. The campground here offers power and water hookups, dump stations, pull-through sites, and clean bathhouses. Bike paths make it easy to get around the area, and easy access to the beach makes this an especially desirable camping spot.

When planning your trip to Funland, it’s important to check the schedule, as hours do change based on time of year and day of the week. Entry to the park is free, but those who wish to ride rides will need to purchase individual ride tickets. These tickets are good for life, so any unused tickets can be used on your next visit. 

Viking Amusements and Thunder Lagoon Waterpark

Another fantastic place to spend a family fun day, Viking Amusements in Fenwick Island is home to some awesome attractions. These include one of the most challenging 18-hole mini golf courses in the area, as well as a super exciting go-kart track. 

Meanwhile, the onsite Thunder Lagoon Waterpark section boasts water slides and a lazy river. These are perfect options for cooling off during the summer.

Visiting Fenwick Island in your RV is a great idea. You’ll be able to rest well in your own tiny home-on-wheels after being out exploring the area all day long. This is especially nice after a long day at an amusement park. 

Treasure Beach RV Park — One of our favorite places to park an RV while in Fenwick Island is Treasure Beach RV Park. This is a clean and well-kept campground with a large pool, areas for kayaking, and an excellent location. Of course, the friendly staff are an awesome bonus as well!

Admission to Thunder Lagoon costs between $11 and $28 depending on your height and the amount of time you plan to spend there. Mini golf is $5–$10 and go-karts cost $7 per ride per person. 

Food is available at the onsite boardwalk and includes things like pizza, burgers, ice cream, and funnel cakes. 

Killens Pond Water Park

Located in Killens Pond State Park in Felton, Killens Pond Water Park is the perfect Delaware summer attraction. The park is home to four sections, which include the Main Pool, Baby Pool, Tot Lot, and Slides. In these sections, you will find a mushroom fountain, underwater benches, baby slides, a climbing toy, sprayers and fountains, and two larger slides. 

Besides the water park, Killens Pond State Park is also home to a nature center, kayaking areas, fishing, and more.

Want to camp while visiting Killens Pond Water Park? We have excellent news: You can actually camp in Killens Pond State Park! It doesn’t get much more convenient than that.

Killens Pond State Park — Camping in this state park is an awesome option. The camping fees are affordable, sites include water and electricity, and the campground itself is clean and quiet. We especially love that it’s so easy to access the water park from the campground, meaning plenty of water fun during your stay.

Planning Your Trip to Killens Pond Water Park

Each day at Killens Pond Water Park is split into two sessions: a morning session and an afternoon session. Your ticket allows you access to the park for one session only. Tickets cost between $6 and $10 depending on your height and whether it is a weekday or a weekend. 

Keep in mind that outside food and drink is not allowed at this park. That said, guests are allowed to leave and return as many times as they like during their session, making it easy to picnic outside of the park if need be.

Jungle Jim’s

Another super fun Rehoboth Beach attraction, Jungle Jim’s provides plenty of kid-friendly fun. This is Delaware’s latest waterpark, and attractions include such things as giant water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and even batting cages and mini golf. It would be easy to spend an entire day here, but you can also pick and choose what you do if you only have a few hours to spend. 

Of course, you will want to check out the gift shop while you’re there. Additionally, a visit to the River Safari Cafe is always a great place to cap off the fun with a burger, some fries, and an ice cream treat!

RV Camping Near Jungle Jim’s

We highly recommend RV camping during your Delaware adventures. This type of travel is especially nice after a long and busy day spent at Jungle Jim’s as it allows you to fall in a comfortable bed of your very own. 

Massey’s Landing — The perfect place to park an RV while checking out Rehoboth Beach, Massey’s Landing offers a great location, full hookups, and plenty of amenities. Pools, fishing, planned activities, and an onsite restaurant are just some of the perks of staying at this lovely RV park.

Planning Your Trip to Jungle Jim’s

Day tickets to the waterpark are $30 for those under 42” tall, and $45 for anyone over 42”. A discount is offered to those who come in after 3pm, and season passes are available. All other attractions are paid for on an individual basis. 

Keep in mind that outside food and drink are not allowed in Jungle Jim’s, meaning you will need to either eat before your visit or plan to dine at the onsite eatery. 

White Water Mountain and Midway Speed Park

Yet another great place to have a blast while in Rehoboth Beach, Midway Speed Park offers tons of fun for everyone. Go-kart racing is the main attraction here and is absolutely fantastic. That said, guests also thoroughly enjoy the onsite mini-golf course, as well as White Water Mountain, the adjacent waterpark.

White Water Mountain plays host to a lazy river, swimming areas, and a handful of awesome slides. It is perfect for anyone 36” tall and up, and complimentary life vests are available for small children. 

RV Camping Near White Water Mountain and Midway Speed Park

Planning on RV camping during your getaway? As mentioned before, Rehoboth Beach has lots of great RV parking. The two campgrounds mentioned above are perfect choices for staying in the area. We also like the one listed below. 

Leisure Point Resort — This park is located a little bit outside of town, but is still relatively close and well worth the drive. A private upscale resort, you’ll find full hookups and all of the wonderful amenities you’d expect from such a park. Of course, this all comes at a price, and this is accordingly one of the more expensive camping options in the area.

White Water Mountain tickets cost between $17 and $27 depending on how tall you are and when you visit. A 15% discount is available for those with a military ID, and season passes are an option for those who will visit often. 

All other attractions are priced individually, but combo tickets are available. 

Sky Zone Trampoline Park

Sky Zone Trampoline Park is a super fun attraction that is sure to have your whole family jumping for joy. This is actually a chain of parks, but the Delaware location can be found in Newark. 

Attractions at the Newark Sky Zone park include the Wipe Out game, Ninja Warrior Course, a trapeze, a battle beam where you can battle your buds, and of course, the wall-to-wall trampolines for endless bouncing fun.

Those who plan to take their RVs to Newark will be happy to learn that the area does have RV parking options. While all of these are nice, we’ve listed our absolute favorite option below and highly recommend heading there if at all possible. 

Lums Pond State Park — As you can probably tell by now, we are big fans of state park camping. Lums Pond is yet another fantastic state park camping spot. Here, you’ll find everything you need to RV camp in comfort, including full hookups, spacious sites, and lovely scenery. We also appreciate the location of this campground—outside of town, but not too far from the fun.

Those visiting Sky Zone must sign a waiver to enter. Minors must have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian. 

Ticket prices for Sky Zone Trampoline Park vary based on the day, time of day, and any events that might be going on. Open-jump happens almost every day, and special events such as glow nights and preschool jump times occur from time to time.

Frightland

Last but not least, we must mention Frightland in Middletown. This is definitely one of the most unique amusement parks in Delaware, and is a must-visit attraction for horror fanatics. 

This terrifying park features an eerily detailed backstory with haunted buildings, haunted areas, and a haunted hayride, and all are tied into the storyline. Additionally, you’ll find carnival rides and live entertainment to keep you busy for hours on end.

RV Camping Near Frightland

Is RV camping your ideal way of traveling to see Frightland? If so, you’ll need to find someplace to park for the night. This is where the area RV parks come into play. The aforementioned Lums Pond State Park is one great pick, but we’ve listed another favorite below. 

Elk Neck State Park — A visit to this gorgeous park is the perfect escape into Delaware nature. The park campground features full hookups and is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. This one is a little bit out of the way, but we find the extra drive to be 100% worthwhile.

Frightland is only open on weekends (and some Thursdays) in October of each year. We recommend buying the FrightPass for $40. This gives you access to all of the haunted attractions as well as the rides on the amusement midway. Keep in mind that parking is an additional $5 per vehicle.
